Kirk Dennis
Drums, Percussion
After failing miserably at piano lessons as a SoCal kid, Kirk bought his first drum kit when he was in college, and taught himself to play listening to Led Zepplin, Scorpions, Bad Company, Pat Benatar, etc. He joined his first band in the early ’80s and continued playing in classic rock cover bands until 1987, when he realized being a high school teacher, coaching and playing late-night gigs didn’t mix. When he finally retired from coaching water polo (after twenty years) in 1997, he had the desire, time and energy to start playing music again. He hooked up with several classic rock cover and original music bands, met bassist Patrick “Ozzie” Osgood near the turn of the century, and they’ve been a rhythm section together ever since. Kirk met Rich Ilkcagla in 2015 in a band and they too have continued to play together since that time.
